Our client, a leading company in Longford, is seeking a Health & Safety Officer for an initial 9 month contract. Scope: Reporting to the site Environmental, Health & Safety Manager; This role is responsible for full site safety programme. Compiling reports and driving the safety culture in the business will be key deliverables. The Health & Safety Officer will lead and coordinate all site H&S systems and projects as well as the site behavioural programme.Improving the site performance through pro active management and involvement in the company CI programme will be key delivery objectives. Primary Objectives: The main objectives of the role. Coordinate site H&S systems as liase with corporate H&S network. Track safety performance for the site and benchmark. Develop and improve the accident / incident investigations and Corrective actions. Facilitate root cause analysis programmes and perform GAP analysis. Perform all risk assessments for existing equipment and new projects and equipment. Develop and conduct all site safety training. Develop a safety management database for safety performance improvement and reporting. Drive safety projects and identify areas of opportunity for business improvement. Lead the Management safety programme and report on the safety KPIs. Leader of First Aid, Fire Safety & Emergency Response teams. Develop and improve Safety KPIs. Work closely with insurance assessors and the HSA as required. To ensure all contractors carry correct liability and have proper training to work on site. Requirements: 3rd level qualification in Health and Safety or similar qualification in engineering / production. 3+ years experience. This job originally appeared on RecruitIreland.com.
