My client, a well known Irish brand based in County Longford, are seeking to hire a Cost Account to join their finance team.Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be joining an existing team of 4 in the Finance Department you will play an integral role in linking both plant/manufacturing and finance. Key Responsibilities: Stock control – to ensure all materials and packaging are accurately recorded in ERP (quantity and costs. Monthly unit reconciliation for plant (to ensure all wastage, leakage etc. is accurately recorded) and liaise with general manager to minimise such wastage. Ensure all labour and overhead costs are correctly captured. Preparation, analysis and distribution of jobs costs. Stock-take variance analysis reporting. P & L analysis including variance analysis reporting. Act as a link between manufacturing/purchasing/quality and finance to ensure that the accounting department are aware of all activities and the financial records correctly reflect this activity. Fixed asset accounting, reconciliations and depreciation journal postings. Monthly sales review (including sales review per van/route. Monthly customer profitability. Monthly product profitability. Promotion reviews. Review of quarterly sales targets. Experience and Qualifications: At least 2 years’ experience in management/cost accountant role. Excellent IT skills, a high level of Excel expertise is essential (pivot tables, vlookup formulas etc.) Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy with numbers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. FMCG experience desirable. Fully Qualified accountant.
