We are delighted to be working with an award winning and market leading lifestyle retailer with multiple stores, renowned for their excellence in customer care, to assist them in sourcing and appointing a suitably qualified and experienced Retail Manager for their store in Longford. Role Overview: T his is a challenging fast paced and varied role that would be ideally suited to an individual with previous retail or management experience looking to develop their career. Roles and Responsibilities: Ensuring standards of exceptional Customer Service are consistently met by the team. Managing and motivating the team. Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control. Analysing sales figures and reporting to head office and senior management. Analysing and Interpreting trends to facilitate planning. Dealing with various staffing issues including performance reviews and feedback sessions, as well as training and development. Promoting the organisation locally by liaising with local schools, newspapers and the community in general. Organising and managing in-store promotions and events. Communicating with the team and your colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues. Strong presence on the sales floor, displaying exemplary standards of performance, participating in teamwork and communicating with customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues as they arise. Maintaining awareness of market trends, understanding and implementing forthcoming group initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing. Initiating changes to improve the business alongside senior managers. Seeking to increase customer satisfaction and sales at all times. Essential Criteria: Previous management experience essential and previous retail experience desirable. Excellent communication and `people` skills along with a strong commitment to customer service. The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations. Driving is a requirement of this position, so candidate must have own transportation and full clean driving licence.
