Technical Specialist. Based in Longford. I am delighted to be assisting my client once again recruit a Principal Scientist/ Technical Specialist to be based in their site in Longford. This would be an excellent opportunity for an Associate Scientist who is looking to join a friendly and dynamic team. About the company: You will be joining a global healthcare manufacturing company who are dedicated to improving people's lives throughout the world by the development of products and technologies. They have a wonderful reputation in the area for really looking after their staff and because of this there is a very low turnover of staff. Due to recent expansion, they now require a Principal Scientist/ Technical Specialist to join their Technical Team. Responsibilities of Technical Specialist Job: * Lead and manage product improvement team from a Technical perspective. * Support and lead the technical aspect of design transfer activities and NPI's as required. Understand the design transfer process and be knowledgeable on all transfer products under your remit. * Identify and communicate any project related technical issues to senior management and work on contingencies as applicable. * Manage and approve risk management files as required. * Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team to maximise expertise. * Demonstrate an understanding of the application of the Quality Policy through daily activities. Bring to the attention of the Technical, Quality and Operations Managers in areas of risk in the production or Quality Systems operations which might have an adverse effect on product safety or quality. * Ensure quality requirements ae being met for customers, internal quality systems, internal & external auditors and other external agencies. * Ensure compliance with GMP and GLP. Requirements of Technical Specialist Job: * Degree in Chemistry or related field. * Min 2 years' experience in a technical position within a GMP environment. * An analytical approach to problem solving. * An understanding of the manufacturing processes and the skills required to record and analyse data from process and laboratory.
