Cpl Healthcare are currently seeking an experienced Person in Charge to co-ordinate and lead in the implementation and provision of quality care to individuals with intellectual disabilities under HIQA National Standards. We are seeking an experienced professional to promote a safe, respectful, empathetic and person-centred service. As the Person in Charge he/she will: Have an in-depth knowledge of HIQA standards and the regulations underpinning the standards as they apply to the Intellectual Disability service. Have the responsibility for ensuring standards are adhered to. Manage resources and lead the team. Function as a role model and promote best practice in the delivery of care and support. Encourage a culture of openness and participation through effective communication. Full list of duties can be requested. Essential Requirements for this post: Possess a BA (Ord) in Social Care Practice (Level 7 on the QQI framework. Or. Be registered in the Intellectual Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) or be entitled to be so registered. Appropriate management qualification in health or social care management. A minimum of 3 years experience in a management or supervisory role in health or social care. Excellent working knowledge of HIQA National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities 2013 and in compliance with the Health Act 2007 as amended 2013.
